Cover Design

Our custom cover design services will give your self-published book the professional look it needs to succeed! For the last 20 years, we have designed hundreds of book covers, each one a close collaboration between self-publisher and designer. Our most common book cover design is softcover, but we also do dustjackets and printed laminated hardcover designs. The cover design (front, back and spine), stock cover image if needed, printed color proof and graphic files to use for marketing is $400.00, a very competitive price. Investment in custom design will pay for itself with notice from readers, publishers and distributors, adding credibility to your self-published book.

We also offer template cover design. We design template covers by "plugging in" your information into simple cover design (template covers are not a design that we provide for you to do yourself). A template cover design includes: a full color picture for the front and back (either provided by you or a stock image), back cover text, author photo on the back and your choice of 10 background colors. Back cover text is also included and a barcode if you have an ISBN. Template cover design is $135.

Text Design

Custom text design will make your book more readable and earn the appreciation of your readers! Good text layout is subtle but important, more than just setting margins and picking a typeface. With our design experience and technical abilities, we can handle the book design details! Cost is $2.25 - $3.50 per page.

As a cost-saving alternative to custom text design, we offer Template text design We "plug in" your text into a basic, traditional style, and is available in small, medium and large type sizes. Available in two trim sizes: 5.5x8.5 or 6x9. Photos can also be added at additional cost. Template text design is $100 for the first 64 pages and 90 cents each page after. Some restrictions apply.
